Having opened its doors over fifteen years ago, Lot 66 has become a staple in the diverse, and ever-changing culinary scene here in Thunder BayFrom the moment you walk in, you’ll not only gravitate towards this warm and welcoming space, but you’ll also easily appreciate how polished it feels as well. Ambience and style appear effortless, and are emphasized through stone and quartz accent walls, and the deep, rich wood bar top, which wraps itself around a marble enclosed fire feature. Just beyond, you’ll find a variety of beers on draught, with at least half of them offering local selections from favoured city-wide breweries. However, even with so many sights of splendour to contend with, your gaze will ultimately be drawn to our most high-end selections of scotches, tequilas, gins, and vodkas, all readily on display and available for you to enjoy.

The reputation of our dining room and lounge has come to be defined as lively and cutting edge, which only lends itself further to the unique experience we are known for here at Lot 66. This space caters itself to our vision as a casual upscale restaurant, which is perfect for not only a professional business dinner, or an intimate meal for two, but also weekly cocktails with friends, or an elaborate celebratory gathering with family. As the evening progresses, the dining room transforms into a sophisticated cosmopolitan lounge, where you can join us for appetizers and pizza, or continue to enjoy the outstanding selection from our full menu, available right up until close.

With our regular menu extending from duck and lamb, to locally-made pasta, we pride ourselves on bringing the best and brightest flavours to each and every one of our entrées. FAR NIENTE

After making its debut last summer, Far Niente quickly became one of the most talked about patios of the season. Its name, borrowed from the Italian noun “dolce far niente”, translates to “pleasant relaxation in carefree idleness.” This vision influenced our approach to this newly defined space, which from your first step onto the terrace to your last sip of wine, will easily transport you to another location entirely. Such a task was instantly achievable when working with such a picturesque enclosed oasis, where no detail in its planning was overlooked.

This fresh, vibrant outdoor dining space is an extension of the best elements that you have come to expect from Lot 66. Far Niente’s menu is based on the same consistent philosophy, by only using ingredients of the highest quality, in a way that not only intrigue the senses, but is as memorable as any occasion you have come to celebrate with us in the past. With a wine list extensively specializing in Californian reds, our wait staff will knowledgeably highlight our newest additions and other favoured vintages, so that you may focus your attention on leisurely enjoying a pleasant evening out amongst the stars. I had heard that this was one of the better restaurants in Thunder Bay, and having now visited it I agree!! The food was great, the atmosphere was a great mixture of casual and elegant, and the staff was friendly and attentive. What more can you ask for in a restaurant?! Whether you're going on a date, for a business meeting, or for a family dinner, this place is great!

We went out for a dinner with some of the family, I have a large number of food allergies and the staff was able to help out with some safe choices. Everyone in the dinner party really enjoyed the food that they ordered.

Delicious menu and great staff. The owner is on the ball and cares about your experience. Awesome spot in town and in some ways reminds me of dinner out in Vegas. Love going there.
